1. Show Restraint
One of the most attractive qualities a male can demonstrate is the power of restraint. The ability to restrain one’s actions is a key component to understanding how to impress a girl, and can go a long way to developing the quality of character that everyone can admire. If you can show a woman that you can be unreactive and unaffected by for example teasing, then you will quickly create the perception of being a high-quality male that is too far above the situation mentally and socially to be concerned.

Think of how you would react if a child pulled on your leg, only to tell you that you are stupid when you see what it is he wants; the low social weight carried by the child forces you to find it much more funny than you do disconcerting. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t get mad when you should and let people walk over you, but rather that you should consciously calibrate your emotional programming in such a way that you aren’t reacting to situations that you otherwise wouldn’t if you were, say, Brad Pitt in a room full of random high school boys.

2. Stick To Your Guns
When in the presence of a beautiful woman, it’s quite easy to succumb to her reality and unwittingly conform yourself to fit her. While at first thought it may seem like a good idea to agree with everything an attractive woman says, in reality it quickly pigeon holes you into the role of a needy chump, and it won’t be much longer until you’re just another guy to her.

3. Talk Well of Your Friends
No matter how tantalizing it might be to poke fun at your friends behind their back, the short-term social value you might gain while with a woman will quickly reflect poorly upon you, and ultimately be your own discourteous downfall.

It’s important to remember in life that much of what we are judged by is the people we associate with, even if we don’t like to admit it. The truth is, if you spend most of your time hanging out with what others see negatively as computer geeks, then your value will be proportionately lowered in the eyes of social circles. Conversely, if you spend a large portion of your time helping out small children at the local hospital, then the way people see and value you will also change. This is an important principle to keep in mind, as when you trash talk your buddies what you are really telling a woman is “the people I hang out with are of low value,” and even worse, she might worry you will do the same thing to her.

4. Don’t Kiss and Tell
It’s always tempting to try and validate yourself around an attractive woman by telling her who did what with you, where and when. Initially this might seem like a good idea, but what you are really doing is sending off a red flag that says “be careful what you do with this guy, he’s a talker.”

One of the biggest things that prevent women from being as sexually liberated as men these days is the simple fact that people will irrationally and meanly look down on a woman for her escapades. She’ll be given labels, garner a negative reputation that she probably doesn’t deserve and ultimately will become exhausted by the ignorant double-standards that she has to put up with. If you can show a woman that you know how to keep names and finer details personal, then she will quickly identify you as one of the few guys that can allow her to rest her mind at ease.

This isn’t to say that you can’t have open conversations about sex; in fact it’s incredibly important to demonstrate just how casual and interesting such a topic is to you. Simply put, you should have an acute awareness of when you are treading into the territory of someone else’s life with their intimate details, and unabashedly abstain from revealing them, even if she wants to know; in fact, especially if she wants to know!

5. Respect and Love Your Family
When you’re younger it may seem cool to talk about how much you hate your parents, or how dysfunctional your family is, but the second a woman is old enough to pick up on the true value of these social clues then you’ve dug your own grave. You can almost hear a woman thinking “If that’s how he treats his closest family, how would he treat a new one?”

Regardless of whether or not a woman is looking to settle down with a man, it’s still a hard-wired response for her to find attraction for men that are supportive, responsible and loving toward their family, and to have disgust for those that cannot appreciate their kinfolk. By showing that you care about your family, you are not only telling a woman that you look out for those closest to you, but that one day you might do the same for her as well. Quite frankly, loving your family is really the easiest and most emotionally rewarding way to discover how to impress a girl.
